US 101st Airborne Market Garden Jump Kit
This Set is a fully authentic World War 2 101st Airbrone “Pre-Jump” Market Garden set. Rebuilt piece by piece with authentic issued and unissued stock sourced from various museums, nations, and collectors. There are no reproduction pieces present on this set, as is the goal of all our sets.
Operation Market Garden , Ground Force operation that took place between the 17th and 25th of September 1944. Under the command of the 1st Airborne Army the 101st Airborne, 82nd Airborne, British 1st Airborne Division and the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade were dropped throughout the Netherlands with the goal of seizing critical bridgeheads and routes to allow Allied Forces to advance rapidly into Germany. The operation was ultimately unable to meet its goal of securing an intact bridgehead across the Lower Rhine River into Germany.
